Why the iPad will fail miserably

C’mon! It’s not innovation, it’s just an oversized iPod. Apple has better things for us. It’s nice, ok, but it will fail like Apple TV. You don’t think so? Read on.

It’s mobile, and bigger. The iPod touch is a good choice when ATT’s out of range, and it’s 3g coverage is soooo poor. So, the idea of a bigger iPod is kind of lame if it has no phone on it. It will have 3g to browse the web, so you’ll have a new mobile number, with no choice of using to phone anyone. That’s weird.

If you like to read books, iPad has no e-ink, just a normal screen. It’s nice to surf the web but your eyes will pop out if you have to read a full book. So, don’t trash your Kindle, not yet.

I’m still thinking, but my first impression was bad. But hey! everything is so new!

Update:

It has no camera!! This is bad: NO CAMERA AMIGO! No Gps either. The only one thing I like is the price, at nearly 500 U$s is a nice photo frame when you are not using it. It has no SD slot, and no USB, only with an adapter, awkward adapter when you plug it to the iPad. They will have to make it better.

Update II:

No FLASH. It’s really a bigger iPod, so the apps are all in the Apple Store. Remember that store? They choose what kind of app you can put in there. So, if they don’t like your app because it effectively competes with one of Apple apps, they will put it away. Steve Jobs loves this kind of lock-in business and he will try to push this behavior until he finds public resistance.

This is the funniest iPad I have found on the Internet
